"The Alycan Art Style"

Alyca is a Visual Artist & Graphic Designer,self-taught and originally from Kentucky. She has lived in upstate New York , the Pacific Northwest, the Deep South and the Southwest. She began her art career in Seattle ,WA., owning a gift gallery for 10 years. She has Associate Technical Degrees/Training in Marketing, Graphic Design, Business and Supervision and Management.

Alyca is a member of both the East Valley Art Guild and One on One Gallery in Mesa AZ. and has participated in numerous art exhibits, art festivals, trunk shows, artwalks, classes and has hosted artist tours and taught art to kids as well as adults.

On canvas she works with both Acrylic and Oil as well as Graphite. She also sculptures, working with clay, wood, bronze, wire and vases. On canvas her favorite subject is people. Alyca has the unique ability to capture what she terms " THE MOOD OF A PERSON"-- expressions and attitude displayed with pure rich color and bold patterns without concern for accuracy or perspective, creating what she calls " whimsical with a little ecclectic flavor going on !"
